The inability to accurately read (if at all) and judge people causes many of the problems you've encountered in your life.
How many times have you met someone, got alon with them and in a few months (sometimes years) they changed on you (at least you think they changed)?
Your first reaction is, "What happened? Where did this come from?"
Unfortunately, there were signs along the way that you overlooked. Feelings and hints that were ignored.
I can't tell you how important it is to be able to read people and at least get an idea of the type of person you're about to deal with.
Yes, it is consider stereotyping and labeling. People do it all the time. However, in your case it is necessary since you don't have a lot of information on the person.
You will have to rely on your initial interpretation of what you see and hear by noticing the inconsistencies in actions, not following through when they give their word, etc.
The purpose of doing this is to prevent yourself from getting involved with people that can stress you out!
There is no rush when you can take your time and learn as much as you can.
I read people on a daily basis and am accurate ninety-five percent of the time.
The key is to not to have the initial opinion, stereotyping or labeling of the person to become ingrained in your brain. This will lead you to you mistreating them based on inaccurate information.
Remember, this whole process is to protect yourself from those who have the potential to complicate your life until you gather more information about the person.
To help you out, I have included a link to the report How To Read Body Language. It covers the different signs to look for when getting to know someone. Please remember it is just a guide. I hope you enjoy it.
